...and Vinyl Cutter Page.

We can learn so much from our past.

A lot of what was said and thought many years ago is still true today.
Listen to President Ronald Reagan from 1989 talk about "Common sense told us that when you put a big tax on something, the people will produce less of it. So, we cut the people's tax rates, and the people produced more than ever before."
Or how about this from the same speech, "We the People tell the government what to do; it doesn't tell us. "We the People" are the driver; the government is the car, and we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast."
The lessons of the past can be learned today by listening to some of the most important speeches of all time at American Rhetoric.
Some of these speeches sound like they could be played tonight on the news as current events. Listen to what President Richard Nixon says about the war in 1969; "Let us all understand that the question before us is not whether some Americans are for peace and some Americans are against peace. The question at issue is not whether Johnson’s war becomes Nixon’s war. The great question is: How can we win America’s peace?".
The same can be said today.
I encourage you to listen to the past for guidance into the future.
